Don't be fooled into threads about it sounding weak. On the positive side i'll say this:Ī) It sounds the same as the other DAW's. I loved it anyhow.ĭ) Tutorials in magazines - I read Sound on Sound, Future Music, i have 12 years of magazines and why no tutorials in these magazines? Yes there are tutorials in Computer Music but that magazine sucks as i like a mixture of hardware and software with my setup. That initial sequencer was easy and fun to work with. Amazing.Ĭ) By version 10 of FL Studio they were really heading away from their step sequencer and becoming more like other linear multi track recording DAW's. I plugged in my Akai MPK 49 midi controller into the mac and it worked straight away and everything was mapped.
I need to delete such and such driver oh but it won't delete. No FL Studio for Mac is a shame and i'm not into bootcamp.ī) I couldn't get any midi controller to work with FL Studio. I'm not a tech savvy guy with computers i just expect them to work. I turn the Mac on, it does what i want it to do at the speed i need it to. After a decade of reading every opinion under the sun about FL Studio vs other DAW's i thought i'd share why i made the switch if anyone cares:Ī) Macbook - After nearly 20 years of working on a PC i always had problems, viruses, driver conflicts, who knows? Anti virus programs conflicting with blah blah blah. I've had the new set up for almost a year (with Reaper and Soundforge).
After about 10 years of FL Studio i made the switch to a Macbook with Ableton. I'll start by saying FL Studio is an awesome program.
